Who am I? I'm an election nerd -- not connected to any candidate and will not endorse any candidate. I simply love elections. See my history at bottom of this page.

Who am I?
I'm David Robert Loblaw and am a non-partisan election junkie, having this obsession for over 40 years. I ran for Mayor of Regina in the October 1982 election, inexplicably losing in a landslide to Larry Schneider. My campaign promise to sink Moose Jaw was a strategic error. :)

Bob Loblaw, one of six candidates for mayor, said he would hold city council meetings on floor mats so aldermen could have wrestling matches to save time, attract city residents' attention and prove "a definite outcome."
In a theatric press conference Friday at 11:11 a.m. - complete with music, candles and free coffee for reporters with "nice hair" - Loblaw said he would move the Eiffel Tower, Indianapolis 500 race track and other world tourist attractions into Regina as part of his plan to make it capital city of the world.
He would then convert the University of Regina into a major convention centre.
Dressed in a fluorescent orange toy hard hat, suit trousers that came below his knees, women's cats-eye glasses, greased-down hair and high-cut runners, Loblaw swept into the press conference to the organ music of a horror show.
His face was colored white and he wore lipstick to match his hat.
Loblaw, 22, said he is financially and spiritually supported by the Bourgeoisie Liberation Organization, which he said is a non-violent terrorist group dedicated to taking over the world by legitimate means.
When the group does that, there will no credit extended to anyone. "Everything will be free," Loblaw said.
He will write "grammatically correct letters" to all world leader asking them to come here.
His slogan: anybody's mayor.
